Consultation

I am a good fit for consultees who wish to grow in the following specialties or directions:

• Complex/early trauma/preverbal trauma/attachment wounding
• Somatic preparation/trauma-focused Yoga

• Ethics of client centered care; social justice, etc. 
• Sexual assault/sex crime trauma 
• Dissociation competence/affirming of people with dissociative experiences of life/self

Limited sliding scale available for consultees using me as their primary Certification consultant - please inquire.

Paula is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, and ERYT200.  A consultation on the topic of trauma focused, accessible yoga as Ph 2,7, and interweave with EMDR; or yoga combined with any therapy modality, counts as a YA CE hour for RYTs.  EMDR therapists will also be able to count the hour consultation with EMDRIA. 

Creative/thematic and complex trauma competent case conceptualization help; help with identifying specific skills/strategies to support your work when complications/severe abreactions occur: 

• ego state/dissociation competence skills
• somatic strategies for ph 2,7, interweave
• neurodivergent considerations
• expressive arts for ph 2,7, interweave

Mentorship for newer EMDR therapists:

• Standard Protocol competency
• Where to start (thematic vs chronological)
• assessing readiness

Complex trauma competence is an ethical imperative, even for therapists not specializing in trauma treatment.  Gain knowledge and skills to:

• educate and empower your clients about trauma
• assess/address dissociation
• use "bottom-up" (body to brain) strategies for emotional regulation
• work collaboratively with adjunct trauma therapists
